La Goleta forms part of a collection of successive beaches along the urban coastline of Corralejo, in the north of Fuerteventura, which also includes Corralejo Viejo and Muelle Chico.

It has fine blonde sand and calm waters, ideal for children, and is very popular among Corralejo residents and visitors. It has all kinds of facilities – showers, deckchairs, parasols –as well as water sports schools, restaurants, and bars nearby.
