Fuerteventura’s beaches are considered by many as the best ones in the Canary Islands. Enormous, with swathes of white sands and at the mercy of calm waves, they are bathed by the Atlantic and the heat of the always shining sun which characterises the Archipelago. Beaches with clean waters and supported by magnificent natural surroundings. The most popular are the ones along the edges of the Corralejo Dunes, on the island’s north coast, and those flourishing along the east coast of Pájara municipality. The dark sand and rocky ones can be found along the island’s west coast and have stronger waves than those on the east coast. Enormous beaches for swimming, walking or simply sunbathing in the sand and enjoying the day in a magical setting. Not forgetting the fact that Fuerteventura is an ideal destination for water sports lovers – activities like surfing, windsurfing, diving and many more are available on many of the island’s beaches.
