La Entallada Lighthouse is found in Tuineje, in the southeast of Fuerteventura, and was built in the 1950s. Since then, it has been popular as the closest point of the Canary Islands to Africa.

It is situated practically next to the town of Las Playitas and has a magnificent viewpoint that juts out from a cliff to offer impressive views of the Punta de la Entallada, which gives its name to the lighthouse.

The lighthouse itself is an enormous building constructed in a U shape formed by 3 stately towers, and presided over by a large crystal dome, that in the past was used to guide planes.
